About

Spending her early years in northern New Mexico, Sarah developed a deep appreciation for natural beauty shaped by cultural narratives—an influence that continues to inspire her work as a landscape architect. Her design philosophy is rooted in the belief that every project should respond to its people, environment, site, and community, resulting in spaces that are both enduring and meaningful. She is particularly drawn to the interplay between nature and urban environments, finding beauty in their inherent contrasts. Throughout her career, Sarah has worked on a diverse range of municipal, commercial, and residential projects across the United States and Mexico. Her work has been featured in Landscape Architecture Magazine, and she is a recipient of the Honor Award in Design from the American Society of Landscape Architects. Today, through Vetiver Studio, she continues to create thoughtful, site-responsive landscapes that blend beauty with purpose. Based in Atlanta, GA, the firm primarily accepts residential and commercial projects in the Southeast, collaborating with clients who share a commitment to meaningful, high-quality design.

The great challenge for the garden designer is not to make the garden look natural, but to make the garden so that the people in it will feel natural.
